My physical office space is fairly well organized. My problem is that I want to set up more effective systems so I can hire more assistants, get things done faster, and find a routine to accomplish it all. Do you help set up systems in the computer, google docs, email, and on websites? Yes, I can help you organize your digital information and create checklists/procedures, and automate tasks through your website. We can also nail down a routine for you to accomplish it all. I barely have time to brush my teeth. How am I going to have time to organize my office? You probably have time to do the things that don’t overwhelm or scare you. I’m willing to bet you have time to check your email. You probably have time to talk on the phone. When we work together, we’ll make organizing tasks manageable, so you have time to do that, too.
Why hasn’t my life changed? I already spent a lot of money on life coaching and business coaching. Why will this be different? No matter how many self development books you read, business coaching programs you participate in, or private business mentors you learn from, things don’t miraculously change in really big ways if you aren’t making changes in your environment to support your vision. Instead they pretty much stay the same or get more overwhelming. Your coaches may have talked to you about the importance of workplace organization and systems, but they don’t usually explain HOW to set up your systems.
Is my office just going to get back to the way it was? Is it going to be like getting a haircut? It grows back and I can’t cut it myself. We’ll be putting systems in place to make it much easier to keep up and maintain organization in your business. You can keep it up. It’s going to be so much easier!
I know I can physically organize myself, but I get overwhelmed and feel like I’m just re-doing the same thing over and over again. I want someone to help me figure out what to do so I stop wasting my time and energy. Will private coaching be right for me? If you can physically do the work yourself, then YES, it’s for you. Don’t think this is a lesser solution than in-person organization. My VIP Days package services have tremendous results and are highly effective. If you have the flexibility to meet with me for several hours every other week, and you can communicate with me via email in-between your private sessions, then one of my VIP coaching packages may perfect for you.
I can do it myself, why should I hire you? How long have you been saying you would get it done (months? years?)? Does there always seem to be something else more important that you need to handle first? Or some reason that stops you from finishing? If you still think you’re going to do it yourself without hiring someone, you may very well be fooling yourself. There’s a reason it’s not done yet, or you wouldn’t be here. Can you explain more about how working with you using Skype video works? I’m having a hard time believing it will work for me. We’ll both sign into Skype and select the option to see each other by video. I’ll ask you to move your laptop to an area we are working on, so I can see it and you. For example, I may say “Put me on a chair in front of your office supply closet.” and you simply move your laptop or point it towards the closet. We’ll begin talking about your stuff and you begin to get into action. I’ll be guiding you based on what you tell me and what I see. You follow my lead, then it gets done. We move to another area. I literally see what you pull out, help you make decisions, and tell you how to organize everything.
If we’re working on your email, computer documents or creating systems checklists, then there’s a way where you can share your computer screen with me, so I can see it, too. What is a spatial expert? I think I know what it means, but wanted to be sure. Great question! I have very strong visual spatial skills, which means I can look at an area and advise you on space solutions and how to arrange items in a highly functional way. Plus, I want to make sure what you see doesn’t feel overwhelming, and instead calmly energizing.
How big a mess are you willing to deal with? If you can’t open doors or walk through rooms because stuff is piled to the ceiling, then please look for a hoarding specialist to assist you. If your items are in disorder because you remodeled, updated, moved, or had some other major life change, then that’s a different matter I can help you with. Feel free to send me some pictures and I’ll give you my opinion. They’ll be kept confidential.
After I get everything organized, I’m planning to paint my office. Do you do interior design, too? I’m happy to offer my opinion on your design choices, however, it is not my area of expertise.
I have clutter, but what’s the big deal if no one can see it? You have no idea how much clutter is affecting you. Depending on how much clutter you have, it can have small or huge energy drains on you. Clutter zaps your energy whether you are conscious of it or not. It adds an “invisible weight”. When you are in business, then to achieve higher success you’ll want to consistently feel your best, as well as, use your time wisely. Clutter will slow you down and hold you back…whether you can see it or not. This includes clutter in your computer.
What will I get out of organizing besides it looking better? You probably already know the answer to this, but I’ll tell you anyway. You’ll be much more productive, have an easier time focusing and getting things done, find things fast, and your business will be easier to manage. Some more wonderful perks are… boosting your confidence even higher, feeling in more control, having more peace of mind, BEING happier, and getting hits of inspiration to move your business forward. When you are working from that kind of place, you’ll also be able to help your clients get even better results. I really could go on and on. The visual results are a very pleasant bonus.
I would hire you in a split second to help me organize my home office if you lived locally. Is there a way to work with you besides in person? Yes! Since technology is so amazing, I can work with you in real-time by using Skype to “be” with you as I guide you through the process. In between your VIP days we’ll communicate via email. Technology also allows me to see your computer screen, so I can help you organize your digital files, as well. The long term results are even more effective than in-person sessions, because you are organizing your things and understanding the concepts behind everything. The organizational skills you learn will serve you for years to come!
How early or late do you schedule sessions? You’re gonna want me at my best. Warming up to the day is my style. I practice what I teach you in the “You First” method. It sets the tone for my entire day. You’ll get me when I’m raring to go by mid-morning. I live in the Central Time Zone and schedule private sessions on Tues, Wed, and Thurs.
Is your home and office spartan and spotless all the time? I wish! Daily “messes” appear. I’ve got kids and a husband. Plus, I make messes. They don’t generally stay around for too long. I’ve created great habits, systems & routines that work amazingly well for me. Organization is one of my secret weapons for higher productivity & inspired focus, which is crucial for running a profitable business AND experiencing a happy, peaceful life with plenty of time to play and relax. Unfortunately I’m not exempt from doing all the things I teach you to do. I’m human, darn it.
I don’t think meeting you on Skype video will work for me. Is there another way to work with you? Skype video is the only way to work with me at this stage of my business. When we meet via Skype video then you can see me and I can see you and your space. We’ll be spending several hours together at one time, where I am guiding you on exactly what to do. As questions come up, then I am there to answer them. I’ll do as much as I can on my end, like make custom checklists or procedure instructions for assistants. The only thing I can not do is reach through the computer and touch your things. Trust me, it kills me at times not to be able to do that! However, it’s a remarkable process where we put our heads together and I guide you.
