Kind Words from Organizing Clients

Elizabeth Saffell

“From start to finish, you are there.

You never let me lose my way. It gets done and I feel relieved, happy, like I can move on.

Your ‘Keep It That Way’ maintenance sessions are a life saver for me. You KNOW how I am after traveling and during the summer.

I still remember when you started your business years ago.  I owe you credit for at least half of my sanity! Thank goodness I have a sis who is an organizer.  Whew!”

~Elizabeth Saffell, Prairieville, LA

Julie McLindon

“You make a real effort to understand my “messiness” and have helped me come up with solutions that work for me.

The effect is great both short and long term.

After each session, whether in-home or “Get It Done!”™ by phone, I’ve felt a great sense of accomplishment. Then at some point the cumulative effect of all the sessions became evident.

Thank you, Melody!”

“Melody, you have helped me save papers in the attic, as well as, recycle papers from the attic I no longer need.

You helped me clear out a kitchen cabinet when I had weevils. And, you have done innumerable tasks in between the attic and kitchen.

Mostly you have helped with all of the chores in my home office. You have done hours of searching and clearing up problems on the phone or computer.

I enjoy working with you and always feel a great sense of accomplishment after you have been here a few hours. While you are here, I’m able to tackle jobs that I otherwise put off. Your organizational skills are top notch.

I don’t recall any labor that you weren’t willing to undertake. The list of things that you have done with and/or for me are too numerous to categorize.

I have worked with another Organizer before. You are much better at compromising to find a plan that works for me instead of trying to impose your will on my life. I would highly recommend you to anyone.”

~Stacy Shearman, Lake Charles, LA

Finally!

I have been working so much lately and have finally had the time to get hangers and get it done…just took a few minutes.

It made me feel wonderful.

Looks great in my closet.  Even got the shoes organized. Thanks for your suggestions.  I love it!

~Tina Thibodaux, Baton Rouge, LA

Hey Tina, You’re welcome & OMG!!!  That’s freakin’ FABULOUS!  (Tina is using the free tips & advice from my blog.)  Thanks for sharing the beautiful closet pic.  Melody

Melody, you have been such a gift for me!

I brag about you to everyone. Since moving into a smaller house four years ago, the accumulation of over 60 years of marriage has been in boxes nearly filling my garage.

Since your arrival my files have been organized, memorabilia has been delegated to save, pass on to my children, give away, or throw away.

Working with someone else puts things in perspective for me. If you are like me in having someone with you to be more efficient, Melody is the one!

When can you come back?”

“Prior to your assistance we performed many of the same activities throughout the office, creating confusion as to where certain files were kept…

…all our space was full and overflowing.  We thought we needed additional storage space.

After studying our agency activity, you created a plan that redesigned our utilization of existing space through files and shelves. You helped us understand how to use space based upon office function, placing complementary activities together.

We now have open areas and organized space and do not need more storage. Our greatest benefit has been the time saved looking for things.

Melody, After the presentation, I felt motivated to come home and look at an area where I could eliminate some items and organize it a little better.

I like what you said about starting in just one area, because if we look at our whole home we feel overwhelmed, get discouraged and never start. In the next few years my husband and I plan to retire and move to the State where our children live. He says we are not moving everything.

We are planning on downsizing to a smaller home, so this caused me to begin thinking of items that really do not have the same value they once did. It is time to recycle those to someone else or maybe even the trash. Thanks for a motivating presentation.

~Judy Mason, Lake Charles, LA

“Melody, you bring more than organization, it is transformation.

You came in open, non-judgmental and really you created a system totally around me, not fitting me into some preconceived ideas.

Your help corralling my paper clutter was the best thing I did for myself this year. Thank you again for being such a positive, life changing force for us this year.”

~Terese McKee, Orange, TX

“If I had not made that 1st call to you, I guarantee that I would still have piles and piles of junk in the closets.

You saw them before the transformation — you couldn’t even walk in them.  We didn’t even have any idea of what was at the bottom of the pile!  We’ve been in the house for two and a half years and I know that without you and your plans, my closets would still be full of clutter and I would be too overwhelmed to do anything about it!

On top of that, it really was nice to have an excuse to get rid of things we didn’t need.  Then the idea spread to other places. Now if I go shopping for clothes for myself, I throw a few old pieces away before I hang the new.  My utility room has two shelves of clear bins.  In the bins are the kids’ art supplies, play-doh, light bulbs, extension cords, cat treats and toys, owner’s manuals.  I even have a junk drawer that is organized!

The first time I called you was right after my oldest child got diagnosed with ADD.  What is the first thing parents are told to do to help their kids with ADD?  Make sure they are organized. Well, I have ADD, too.  At that time, I couldn’t even get organized myself much less show him how to do it.  With your help, both my son and I fixed a really big problem and our lives are much easier and less anxious without the piles of clutter to overwhelm us!

You really have made a big difference in our lives! I told you then and I’ll say it again, you really are worth much more than what you charge!”

~Jennifer Wallace, Lake Charles, LA

Jennifer, I finally did it!  Melody

“Melody, I have been thinking about you everyday and I am so glad I googled you!

My life, mind, and home are forever indebted to you.  I sit to pay bills and it takes about one third of the time it used to take – with so much less frustration because everything is right there in one spot.

I love my pantry – walking in it is now fun, not a chore! My attic is actually pleasant to walk around in now, too. I still have photos to organize and, of course, I would love to finish my cookbook. I need to talk to you about those chores, when you have time. I still have clutter problems, but I do take the time to put things where they belong after a couple of days.

Thank you for making my life so much better. I never imagined being clutter free would make such a difference!

~Kathryn Devall, Hackberry, LA

Dear Melody,   This is the chance I’ve been waiting for!

I’ve found the right person for the job. You are very prompt, scheduled, efficient, and, of course, organized. You are very familiar with the tricks of the trade that is making my life easier.

Investing in your services was an investment in my sanity! Well worth it! Living in an unorganized environment will only hold you back from accomplishing important things in life.  The money I put into this service pays back generously! The professionalism I receive from you is a bonus.

Peace to You.

~Nadine Burrough Wise, Lake Charles, LA (Nadine, you will be missed. Melody)

“We absolutely love the wonderfully functional closet you designed for our new house.

The ideas for storage that you gave me are helping me keep it more organized than ever before. The storage bench in the center of the closet is perfect for my husband’s boots; he doesn’t leave them scattered all over the house anymore.

I have eliminated a lot of clothes we no longer need, per your suggestions, and find that we both have a workable wardrobe at our fingertips, for both work and dress occasions.

I am recommending you to everyone who asks about storage and closet solutions.

Thanks, Melody!”

~Lenora Poole, Grand Lake, LA

“Thank you!  Thank you!  Let me tell you, that hard work was not in vain.

I needed some pics for my senior child’s High School Graduation slide show and guess what?  I knew where to find them! So thank you!

Had we not organized that day he would only have CURRENT pics to be embarrassed with.

~Belinda Avery, Lake Charles, LA

“My baking center was in chaos.

You didn’t spend any time on it, but looked at it as you were leaving and told me how to arrange it. It is now extremely functional!”

~Jan V., Prairieville, LA

“I used to have a hill of paperwork on my desk when we first began our sessions.

Due to the fast pace demands of my job, my productivity was very bad and work kept ‘piling up’ on my desk. I was only putting out fires and other work was being delayed.

On a daily basis, I have to re-prioritize my work to meet frequent changes in demand.  I’m still trying to get accustomed to MS Outlook as my task manager.  So far it helps keep track of and prioritize my work load.  Also, it provides a good log of my accomplishments to look back onto when it’s time for my mid-year and performance reviews.

Since we scanned all my books, files, etc., I am able to review my information from wherever I am at, on or off the job.  I don’t get distracted by having to look for data.

When someone requests information I can easily locate the information quickly, whether it is electronic or within my filing system — and stay mentally focused on the task I am working on, then continue on with other tasks.

It sure was nice coming back to a clean and organized office.  I’ve accomplished more today than I normally would due to the organization of my office and electronic filing system.

And I have had lots of compliments on how nice my office looks.

Thanks, Melody.  This is a major bonus for me because I do not have to live in my office so much. Now my files, both electronic and hard copy, are well organized and at my fingertips.

~Danny Kingham, Sulphur LA, Maintenance Superintendent, Westlake Chemical Corp.

“Oh what a difference you have made.  I am organized, finally!

You are a pleasure to be around – wonderful ideas – great personality – very patient and extremely thorough.”

~Penny Fontenot, Moss Bluff, LA

(You were such an inspiration to me and will be missed. Melody)

I am so very thankful for you, Melody!

Previously, I thought I had to keep EVERYTHING! FOREVER!  Years of paper work was piled and stuffed into boxes and bins until they filled what was supposed to be the guest room/office.  I couldn’t find what I needed and felt too overwhelmed to figure out how to tackle the chaos.  I needed some serious help!!

I was discouraged to find that there were no professional organizers in my area and felt doomed to either live in clutter forever or pay a ridiculously high fee to have someone travel to me. Then I found your site!  I was ecstatic to discover your phone coaching service AND tons of useful information to help me!

I made huge accomplishments, with your help. I cleared out and rearranged items in my gift/seasonal closet and in the entire bedroom. Your suggestions have made my filing system easily accessible. Now what I need is nicely tucked away in one drawer of a lateral file cabinet.  In the event of an emergency, someone else can easily find the necessary information…and…I now have a place in my “office” to SAVE THE DATE!!!!

Working with you has been an absolute pleasure! You never made me feel that I was being judged or doing something wrong, but always celebrated even the smallest bits of progress and kept me encouraged to continue. You have an amazing ability to help people find a more productive way to do things, in a manner tailored to their style and personality.

I guess we all need a little pat on the back when we’ve worked hard, and maybe that’s why I never “Got It Done” completely…no one EXPECTED me to, or held me ACCOUNTABLE to finish it. Thanks for believing in me and for all you’ve helped me achieve. Working with you is the best thing I’ve done for myself in a very long time!

Sincerely,
Mary Pujol
